If you’ve removed all of your volume reducers but still aren’t getting enough travel on your 170mm+ travel RockShox ZEB, or if you just find the ride quality to be a bit harsh and want to open up your mid stroke a bit, our 'Flux' air spring cap can help! It increases the positive air spring volume by one "bottomless token" when compared to the stock cap...
In doing so, the Flux cap alters the air spring curve. This change increases support in the initial travel while opening up the mid-stroke to better manage successive medium sized hits - from braking bumps to rock gardens. Additionally, at the end stroke the Flux air spring cap makes it easier to attain full travel, but you won't suffer from harsh bottom outs.
On rugged, natural terrain we feel the Flux cap provides improved ride characteristics that are more coil-like when compared to the stock air spring cap with no volume reducers.
Although we mainly tested and optimized for the air spring curve on longer travel ZEBs, we can confirm that this product also works with the MY24+ RockShox BoXXer as well. However, given the BoXXer’s inherent ride dynamics in stock form, it may not be as beneficial as it is on ZEB.
Details:
- The Flux cap has the same down tube clearance as Charger 3/3.1 damping adjusters.
- At 36 grams, it weighs just 9 grams more than a stock air spring cap.
- 3-5 PSI firmer starting pressure recommended for ZEB, 8-12 PSI firmer for BoXXer.
- A 32mm hex socket is required for installation.
- Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum.

The fork cap helped the issue with Zeb not using full travel. Fork is using more travel now and overall feel is very good. But fork still resistant to use full travel.
With the Flux Air Spring Cap installed I achieved a more linear feel for my Zeb that better matches my coil shock. I can now run the air pressure I like in my fork and still benefit from the 170mm travel. I haven't noticed any drawbacks from this product. Fork still feels very plush.
The Flux Cap Did exactly what I wanted which was to get full travel on my 180mm Zeb. Because it allows a little less air build up from a long travel. I highly recommend this to anyone running over 70lbs of pressure on anything more than 160mm fork.
Only 1 issue was my Fox Digital pump won't work.
Loved my Zeb but could never get it to ride perfectly. Installed the Flux and it worked perfectly! Thanks! Keep up the good work!
I installed this on a 160mm Zeb and I think it is a big improvement over stock. The fork rides higher in the travel, it feels a little stiffer in the top and middle of the stroke and it is getting deeper in the travel in the rough stuff. The bike felt more playful, I was getting higher on jumps and sending doubles more easily. I need to fiddle with the settings a little to get it properly dialed but I am really liking it so far. I read that the owner does not think it would help a 160 fork much but I beg to differ. Thank you!
